About the Event

History tells us that humans have been wearing masks for as long as we have been humans. Now a novel coronavirus is writing a fascinating new chapter in the cultural history of human masks.

Join Linda Rae for a walk through masks in history and be inspired to create your own artistic statement about face masks in 2022.  Let's have some fun and add some sparkle to this topic.

Targeted to school-age children and their parents to explore the topic together, an opportunity to question and resolve how we have handled COVID-19 and its impact on our daily lives.

This workshop is FREE as part of the Pandemic Portfolio 2 Program.  Artworks will be displayed in an exhibition in the British Arms Hotel after the workshop and may be selected to be published in the Pandemic Portfolio 2 keepsake book.

There are a limited number of spaces for this workshop, so please register to confirm your space and to help with planning.

____________

Thank you to Museum of the Goldfields for hosting this event and supporting the project.

Many thanks to Parenting Connections WA, and the Parenting Capacity Fund for supporting this series of workshops that will act as a tool to open discussion between parents and children about pandemic life.  Artworks and quotes produced will be displayed online and at public exhibitions.  Activities will run throughout 2022.
